The School of Economics at UiS is an educational institution that offers programs in economics, business administration, and law. The school has a student population of approximately 1,500 and is staffed by 125 employees. It is divided into three departments: innovation, management, and marketing; accounting and law; and economics and finance.
The institution has a Center for Innovation Research affiliated with the faculty, which focuses on both research and teaching in finance and economics. The Master's program in Economics and Business Administration has received international accreditation from EFMD Global, which emphasizes the quality of the education. In addition, the School of Economics organizes KÅKÅnomics, which is the largest economics festival in the Nordic region, and thus contributes to promoting economic knowledge and debate.
