OFFSHORE TRAINING OFFICE - OOF is a training office that aims to ensure future professional competence within the oil and gas industry. The office functions as a collaborative body for several companies that have jointly assumed training responsibility. This is done in cooperation with the Vocational Training Board, the Norwegian Education Authority and apprentices, in accordance with the Education Act and the Act on Vocational Training in the Workplace.
The center offers an overview of various subjects and available apprenticeships, and has strict requirements for health and language skills in both Norwegian and English. Particular emphasis is placed on training for apprentices in offshore subjects, and information is also provided about opportunities and the way forward after the apprenticeship. The application deadline for apprenticeships is March 1st each year.
