The Rogaland Forestry Society is a non-profit organization that has been active since 1898, with the goal of promoting knowledge about forests and forestry. The organization works to reestablish forests in Norway and emphasizes health and climate in its work. Through various activities and events, such as "King(l)e for a day", they engage children and young people in nature activities and give them the opportunity to learn about the importance of forests.
In addition to physical activities, the Forestry Society offers free webinars that focus on forest planning and management. This gives participants an opportunity to acquire knowledge about sustainable forestry. The organization also uses modern media, such as vlogging, to share experiences and knowledge from the forest, which helps to make forests part of the general knowledge.
