Geirangerfjord is one of Norwayâs most iconic fjords, located entirely in Stranda Municipality (Møre og Romsdal). It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage property âWest Norwegian Fjords â Geirangerfjord and NĂŚrøyfjord.â The area is celebrated for its archetypal fjord landscape and striking scenery.
The fjord is about 15 km long and stretches between Hellesylt and Geiranger. It is frequently chosen for scenic drives and fjord experiences across Fjord Norway. The sense of scale comes from the narrow waterway framed by steep mountain sides.
