Svolvær Environmental Station offers waste management services for both households and businesses. The station accepts and processes all types of waste, and also offers services such as waste management, sludge disposal and advice. To support residents in the correct sorting of waste, they focus on source separation and environmental remediation, and have established environmental stations and return points for efficient waste management.
The environmental station is owned by the municipalities of Flakstad, Moskenes, Vestvågøy and Vågan, and aims to contribute to a cleaner future for Lofoten. They also arrange lectures and information work to raise awareness about environmental protection and waste management in the region. Their vision is to work together to keep Lofoten clean, which is reflected in their services and activities.
