Saga Fisk Dry Factory is a company that specializes in processing seafood and fish products from Lofoten. With a strong foundation in traditional methods, they focus on quality by using raw materials from Northern Norway. The company is known for its production of stockfish, which is dried naturally using the sun and wind, as well as salted fish, with a particular emphasis on cod for the export market.
In addition to traditional products, Saga Fisk packages fresh skrei, roe and cod tongues during the Lofoten fishery. Despite being relatively young, with roots dating back to 1802, the company has made significant investments, including 11 million kroner in a new purification plant to improve odor conditions in production. This underlines their commitment to quality and sustainability in the fishing industry.
