OKNN is a multidisciplinary training office that aims to support both apprenticeship companies and apprentices in Svolvær. The organization offers services related to the recruitment and follow-up of apprentices, with a focus on several industries, including fisheries, health, construction, industrial engineering, tourism and media. This gives companies access to qualified apprentices and contributes to a better integration of young people into working life.
In addition to recruitment, OKNN handles applications, approvals and documentation for companies wishing to accept apprentices. The organization places great emphasis on ensuring a safe and good apprenticeship for apprentices, and offers close follow-up both for the apprentices themselves and for training managers in the companies. Through cooperation with the Norwegian Seamen's Union, OKNN works to improve the conditions for apprentices and apprenticeship companies, which contributes to a stronger quality of training in the region.
