Bjerkaker kindergarten is located on the southern tip of Tromsøya, surrounded by scenic surroundings. The kindergarten is organized as a cooperative (SA), where the parents are members. Any profits from operations are reinvested in the kindergarten's purpose, which contributes to a focus on quality and development.
Since 2014, Bjerkaker kindergarten has been a member of IBID, as well as the National Association of Private Kindergartens (PBL). The kindergarten offers two hot meals a week, in addition to fruit and lunch every day. The diet follows the recommendations of the Norwegian Directorate of Health, which emphasizes a conscious attitude towards healthy food and nutrition for the children.
