Trollbakken kindergarten is located at the top of Trollbakken, near Prestvannet and Bak-Olsen. The kindergarten has a large outdoor area that includes a forest, climbing trees, a climbing tower and a barbecue hut. In winter, a nearby mound serves as a toboggan run, which gives the children opportunities for varied play and activities in the open air.
The kindergarten emphasizes healthy and varied food, and serves hot lunch two days a week. The children get to participate in cooking, menu planning and table setting, which promotes their understanding of nutrition and cooperation.
