Norli Bokhuset is Tromsø's oldest bookstore, established in 1918, and has premises at Storgata 86 and Jekta Storsenter. The store offers a wide selection of books in most genres, with a special focus on works by local authors and literature about Northern Norway. In addition to books, it also sells hiking maps, sea charts and road maps, as well as games, supplies, cards and stationery.
The bookstore has been recognized for its work and was awarded the Gullboka for the year's bookstore in Norway. Norli Bokhuset organizes reading competitions and book-related events, and has a membership program that gives access to discounts and newsletters. There is also an emphasis on sustainability and social responsibility in the operation, as well as special offers on e-books and audiobooks.
