Dyrebeskyttelsen Norge Tromsø is a voluntary organisation that works to help animals in need. The organisation offers rehoming of various animal species, including cats, dogs, rabbits, small rodents and birds. To help reduce the number of homeless animals, they also offer ID-chipping and neutering, as well as a neutering campaign with financial support for cat neutering.
Dyrebeskyttelsen Norge Tromsø's help centre is open to visitors at irregular intervals, and this is advertised on their public Facebook group. The organisation also organises open house events, where people can come to learn more about animal husbandry and legislation, as well as get information about ethical animal welfare and responsible animal husbandry. Volunteers can participate in various activities, including dog walking, and stories of rehoming animals are shared to inspire and inform the public.
