The Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland is an ecclesiastical entity that includes parishes in Troms and Finnmark. The diocese is located in Tromsø Cathedral, which serves as a central point for the diocese's activities. The organization consists of nine rectories and 64 parishes, which provides broad coverage of the geographical area. Bishop Olav Øygard has led the diocese since 2014.
The diocese was established in 1952 after the division of the Hålogaland diocese. Since then, it has had a focus on youth work and engagement, and organizes, among other things, a Sami confirmation camp in Nordreisa. In addition, the diocese includes projects for diaconate, which aim to support vulnerable groups in society.
