The Ingvald Jaklin sculpture is a tourist attraction in Tromsø, dedicated to the memory of Ingvald Jaklin, a Norwegian politician from the Labour Party. Jaklin was born on 22 February 1896 in Lyngen Municipality in Troms. He had a long career in politics, serving as a member of the Storting from 1950 and being re-elected twice. In addition to his role as a Storting representative, he was deputy mayor of Tromsø City Council from 1945 to 1949.

Jaklin also held a significant position as mayor of Tromsø, serving for three terms. His political activities spanned several decades, and he contributed to the development of the local community. Ingvald Jaklin died on 13 December 1966, and the sculpture stands as a memorial to his life and work in Tromsø.
