Coop Nord SA is a cooperative with headquarters in Tromsø, owned by approximately 106,000 members. The organization operates approximately 60 stores in North, Central and South Troms, Ofoten and Lofoten, and the stores belong to the chains Extra, Obs, Coop Prix, Coop Marked, Obs Bygg and Coop Byggmix.
In addition to store operations, Coop Nord owns several shopping centers, including Jekta Storsenter in Tromsø, Sjøkanten Senter in Harstad and Lofotsenteret in Leknes. With a turnover of around 3.6 billion kroner in 2019 and approximately 1,000 employees, Coop Nord is one of the largest companies in Northern Norway. The company is also a significant real estate player in the region, with properties covering 250,000 square meters. Coop Nord is ranked as the fifth largest cooperative in Norway.
