The ADHD Omega 3 study is a research study that has investigated the effect of omega-3 oil on children and adolescents with ADHD and ADD. The study has focused on symptoms such as concentration difficulties, hyperactivity and impulse problems. It has been open to participants aged 6 to 16 years, and there has been a requirement that participation should take place without the use of ADHD medications.
The project has contributed to increased knowledge about the role of omega-3 fatty acids in relation to ADHD symptoms, and has involved collaboration between doctors and researchers to investigate the brain's needs. Although the project has now ended, it has provided valuable insight into how diet can affect symptoms associated with ADHD. Participants from all over Norway have had the opportunity to take part in the study, which has aimed to understand the connection between diet and ADHD.
