LO Troms and Finnmark is part of Norway's largest workers' organization, the National Confederation of Norwegian Trade Unions (LO), and aims to safeguard the interests of its members in working life and social conditions. The organization has over one million members and 60,000 elected representatives who work to ensure safe and fair pay and working conditions. Through its work, LO Troms and Finnmark focuses on important topics such as gender equality, sick leave and housing policy.
In addition to professional organization activities, LO Troms and Finnmark offers LOfavør, a benefits program for its members. The organization is also involved in international issues, including support for Palestine. They organize conferences and days for equal pay, and have a visitor center called Folkets kjørne, where members can get information and support.
