Troms Hiking Team — Association / Organization

Troms Hiking Team is a voluntary organization founded in 1907 and affiliated with the Norwegian Tourist Association (DNT). The organization aims to promote active and environmentally friendly outdoor activities, as well as to provide information about nature and the outdoor activities in Troms. It offers group tours and various courses for all age groups, making it possible for both beginners and experienced outdoor enthusiasts to participate. In addition to tours and courses, Troms Hiking Team offers opportunities for voluntary involvement, including volunteer work for marking trails and maintaining cabins. The organization has 36 overnight cabins spread over 20 cabin farms in Troms, and activities take place both in the immediate area and in a cabin and grid network. Troms Hiking Team consists of three independent local teams: Senja Turlag, Balsfjord and Surroundings Turlag, and Nord-Troms Turlag, all of which contribute to a varied offer of tours and active hiking groups.
