Maritim Opplæring Nord is a learning center that offers training within the maritime sector. The center focuses on professions such as seaman, ship engine mechanic and maritime electrician. The ownership consists of 40 member shipping companies that actively contribute to the training, which ensures that the courses are adapted to the needs of the industry.
The center covers the counties of Finnmark, Troms, Nordland and Trøndelag, and aims to coordinate and streamline training activities in member companies. This includes mapping training needs and arranging training according to specific training plans. Maritim Opplæring Nord also offers apprenticeships and support for cadets through the Webcadet platform, which helps to raise the professional quality of the training.
