Norwegian People's Aid department Tromsø is part of a national organization that engages volunteers throughout the country. The organization works in approximately 35 countries and focuses on various humanitarian tasks, including first aid and rescue services. Norwegian People's Aid is also involved in mine clearance and protection of civilians, as well as development and humanitarian cooperation.
As a democratic member organization, Norwegian People's Aid is part of the trade union movement's humanitarian solidarity work. The organization has local branches available throughout Norway, which makes it possible for individuals to participate in community engagement and solidarity work. Solidarity Youth is part of the organization and focuses on socio-political engagement among young people.
