Bakklandet kindergarten, established in 1840, is the country's second oldest kindergarten. It is located in Singsaker in Trondheim, in a converted house from 1976 that preserves the interior and atmosphere from the building's origins. The kindergarten has a unique charm, and there are still parts of the building, such as the dark attic, that remain untouched and give a sense of historical connection.
The location is close to the city center, but the kindergarten benefits from a quiet environment without traffic noise and pollution. The proximity to Nidelva, Høyskoleparken and Duedalen provides opportunities for varied nature experiences and daily outdoor play. The kindergarten emphasizes giving the children a good everyday life, where physical activity and exposure to nature are part of everyday life.
