Dragvoll kindergarten is one of three student kindergartens in Trondheim and Gjøvik, with a collaboration that extends to Ålesund. The kindergarten has a clear focus on play, development and community for children aged 0–6. This educational offer is adapted to the needs of student families, and the kindergarten offers around 400 places.
The kindergarten has several distinctive features, including a dedicated chef who prepares food, as well as a vegetable garden that gives children the opportunity to learn about sustainability and food production. The buildings are designed with sustainability in mind, and an emphasis is placed on an environmentally conscious learning environment. In addition, there are rooms for music, dance and theater, which gives children opportunities to explore creative expression. Dragvoll kindergarten is located near student environments and scenic areas, which contributes to a varied and stimulating everyday life for the children.
