The Buenget kindergarten learning workshop in Trondheim has space for approximately 70 children and employs around 20 adults. The kindergarten is organized as a departmental kindergarten and has specialized theme rooms for various academic activities. Emphasis is placed on several educational areas, including the heart program, creativity, language, mathematics and nature. The kindergarten has a large common room that is used for motor play and joint events, as well as proximity to forest areas with a campfire and playgrounds.
The staff consists of young and varied employees with a teacher density of 50 percent. There is a focus on organized play in small groups, which contributes to a safe and inclusive learning environment. The kindergarten practices composting food waste and grows vegetables in a kitchen garden, which promotes sustainable thinking among the children. Through playful learning and interaction, they work to give the children a solid foundation for development.
