Trondheim Public Library Main Library, also known as Trondheim Folkebibliotek, is Trondheim's largest cultural center measured in number of visitors. The library offers a wide range of services, including digital solutions such as advanced search in Bibliofil. Literature events are organized for both children and adults, as well as special offers for schools and kindergartens, such as a class library.
The library has its own organizing group for young people, called Upolert, and also offers opportunities for lending e-bikes and tools. Part of the library's offerings includes a focus on inclusion, with special activities for newcomers to Norway. With approximately 3,500 daily visitors, the library serves as an important meeting place for people of all ages and social groups, and it has a varied selection of books, newspapers, magazines, films and music.
With 60 employees, the library is equipped to provide help and guidance to visitors, and it is a central part of the cultural quarter in Trondheim, which also highlights the library's history and importance in the local community.
