Geir Karsten Hansen is an architect with extensive experience in the construction process and Facilities Management. He holds the position of professor and is the academic director of the Center for Real Estate Development and Management. In addition, he serves as the program director for the Master in Real Estate Development and Management, where he contributes to education and research in his field.
Hansen has specialized in usability and adaptability of buildings, which reflects his focus on functionality and sustainability in architecture. He has experience from both the university and research sectors, as well as private practice, and has been involved in significant projects such as St. Olavs Hospital in Trondheim. Furthermore, he is active in several international working groups that work on topics related to architecture and management.
