NTNU - Regional Knowledge Centre for Children and Young People - Mental Health and Child Welfare (RKBU Midt-Norge) is a research institute affiliated with the Department of Mental Health at NTNU. The centre aims to develop new knowledge through research, as well as to assist relevant services in their efforts to improve the quality of services for children and young people. This includes providing service support and contributing to quality improvement on the initiative of the services themselves.
RKBU Midt-Norge focuses on training and education of employees in various services, and disseminates knowledge to service providers, decision-makers and the population. The centre is also engaged in socially relevant projects and research, and offers courses and events within its field. Through collaboration with NTNU and other institutions, RKBU Midt-Norge works to contribute to sustainable competence development and support for caregivers.
