TrollLABS is an interdisciplinary research group affiliated with NTNU, established in the fall of 2014. The group specializes in early-stage product development, often referred to as the "fuzzy front end". TrollLABS focuses on investigating radical new ideas and concepts, making them an important player in innovation and development.
Located above the Product Realization Lab, TrollLABS offers a range of tools for prototyping and user involvement. The group also has specialized machinery available to users, which provides opportunities for practical testing and development of new products. In addition, TrollLABS engages in both technological and social change, which underlines their broad approach to research and development.
