Salamander Night is an art gallery that houses a remarkable collection of artworks created by Trondheim artist Kjell Erik Killi Olsen. The gallery consists of 72 sculptures, each with a height of over three metres. These sculptures were originally created for the São Paulo Biennale in Brazil in 1989 and represent a significant part of the artist's output.
In 2007, the sculptures were given as a gift to Trondheim municipality by Killi Olsen, and they can now be seen in the premises of Sparebank1 Midt-Norge. Salamander Night is thus an important part of Trondheim's cultural heritage, and contributes to the city's artistic expression. The gallery gives visitors the opportunity to experience great art in a local context.
