+CityxChange dashboard in Trondheim is a tourist attraction that focuses on the development of sustainable cities through collaboration and innovation. The project aims to create Positive Energy Districts (PEDs), where energy production and consumption are balanced in a sustainable way. Trondheim and Limerick serve as beacon cities in this initiative, which involves the implementation of local energy markets and the development of demonstration projects for climate-friendly urban environments.
The project includes 26 partners from different European cities and is coordinated by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). In addition to the practical measures, the project has published a "How to PED" cookbook that shares experiences and recommendations for other cities that want to follow similar sustainable strategies. This initiative contributes to increasing awareness of sustainable urban development and energy use among visitors.
