Lundereng Bigård is a food producer located in Bymarka, Trondheim. The company was established in 2018 with two bee colonies, and has since expanded to include eight bee colonies. Each hive has the capacity to produce between 30 and 50 kg of honey per year, resulting in a total harvest of around 350 kg of honey, depending on weather and climate conditions.
In addition to honey production, Lundereng Bigård offers certified bee colonies and queen bees for sale. In July, they will move the apiary to the heather pasture in Hitra to optimize production. The company is run by Einar O. Lundereng and Khatereh Småvik, who are cohabitants. Lundereng Bigård also focuses on breeding and selling bees and queens, which is an important part of their business.
