Pasi Olav Aalto is a photographer with an interdisciplinary focus who promotes projects related to forests and wood as a resource base. He works to bring together researchers, students, industry and the public sector to develop sustainable solutions and contribute to a circular society. Aalto has an active role as a researcher at TrollLabs, where he quantifies human responses to built environments.
As coordinator of the SusRes project Circular City, he works on initiatives that aim to understand and improve urban environments. He also participates in the H2020 project Dialogues, which focuses on energy citizenship, and is responsible for the Norwegian Citizen Action Labs in Overhalla and Oppdal. Aalto is involved in the NFR project Balance, which aims to investigate the balance between different factors in society.
