Correctional Services Region North is responsible for the implementation of sentences within its geographical area, which is part of the Norwegian correctional system. The office is organized into five regions, and aims to ensure a comprehensive use of resources in the work with prisoners. This includes cooperation with other regions to optimize resources and improve services.
The services offered include restorative processes, health services for prisoners, as well as program activities for rehabilitation. There are also substance abuse control and substance abuse units, which are important to support prisoners in their rehabilitation process. In addition, prisoners have the opportunity for leave and receive support in connection with parole, which contributes to a more effective reintegration into society.
