Kristine Rensvik Viddal is an associate professor at the Department of Psychology at NTNU, where she has specialized in developmental psychology and developmental psychopathology. Her research focuses on the importance of close relationships for individual development, and she is a member of The Human Development Research Centre. Viddal also participates in the research study "Early secure in Trondheim", which examines early relationships and their impact on children's development.
In addition to her research work, Viddal has experience in clinical psychology, where she has worked with therapy for different age groups. She is head of RETHOS' program group for psychology education and has the role of deputy head at the Department of Psychology, with responsibility for the education area. Viddal also publishes research on adolescent mental health, which contributes to increased knowledge and understanding in the field.
