Truls Ryum is a professor and specialist in psychology at NTNU, where he also serves as the clinic manager for the Adult Psychology Outpatient Clinic. In his role, he is responsible for both clinical work and management, as well as the development of services within psychology. Ryum has a strong focus on research, especially within psychotherapy and therapist competence, and has contributed to the field through active publication of scientific articles and participation in conferences.
In addition to his research work, he teaches and supervises psychology students, and works with innovative training models to improve education in psychology. Ryum also participates in research that investigates the relationship between acute delirium and cognitive symptoms, which contributes to a deeper understanding of these conditions. His work combines clinical experience with academic research, and he is a central figure in his field.
