Ladejarlen High School offers a varied educational offer with a focus on electrical engineering, restaurant and food science, and maritime studies. The school has two departments, Ladejarlen and Ringve, and has a committed learning environment that facilitates alternative education opportunities. Students have the opportunity to participate in placements in Germany and Trøndersk læring in Florence, which gives them international experience.
The school also has a new resource and subject center for students, as well as a cultural card offer during Kosmorama. In addition, Ladejarlen VGS has been recognized as the winner of the Science Prize. To support students' learning, the PC Løftet program is offered, which gives all VG1 students access to computers. The student council plays an important role in representing the students and contributing to an inclusive school environment. The school is planning to move to new premises, which is expected to happen in 2013.
