Trondhjems Seilforening was founded in 1895 and has been continuously active since then, with the exception of the period during World War II from 1940 to 1945. The association currently has around 600 active members who participate in sailing. Its goal is to promote sailing as an activity and community among its members.
The association offers marinas and winter storage for both land and sea. It also organizes several regattas, including the Coastal Sailing and the Autumn Cup, which attract sailors from various places. The clubhouse serves as a gathering point and is available for rental for various events. Trondhjems Seilforening also focuses on training and development, and offers training sessions as well as club championships for keelboats.
