Trondheim Intermunicipal Emergency Care offers emergency medical services for residents who experience illness or injury that cannot wait until their GP is available. The emergency care is open 24 hours a day and provides treatment for both adults and children. It is open to everyone, regardless of GP, and focuses on patient safety and quality of treatment.

In addition to serving the residents of Trondheim, the emergency care also covers the municipalities of Malvik, Melhus and Midtre Gauldal after 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, as well as around the clock on weekends and holidays. The emergency care has the ability to quickly assess the patient's condition and access specialists if necessary. It is recommended to contact the emergency care by phone at 116117 before visiting the place, to receive advice based on your health condition.
