The Vardesenteret and the Breathing Room at St. Olavs Hospital are low-threshold meeting places for cancer patients, relatives and survivors. The centre aims to promote quality of life, well-being and coping through various services. Here, visitors can relax, share experiences and get advice in a safe and supportive environment.
The centre also offers digital services that are available to people throughout Central Norway. This includes a digital booking system for training sessions, courses and conversations, which makes it easier for users to participate in activities that can contribute to their well-being. The Breathing Room at St. Olavs is an integrated part of the service, which further emphasizes the focus on creating an inclusive and supportive community for those affected by cancer. The Vardesenteret and the Breathing Room are a collaboration between the Norwegian Cancer Society, St. Olavs Hospital and Aktiv mot kreft.
