Nye Hjorten Teater AS is a newly established folk theatre in Trondheim, which plans to open its doors in January 2025. The theatre will be a signature building in the cityscape and aims to offer a varied programme of theatre performances, including musicals, comedies, family performances and classic dramas. Among the planned performances are titles such as "Evig Ung" and "Next to Normal".
The theatre will also host special events, such as "Nye Hjorten Teaters Spektakulære Juleshow", as well as jazz evenings. Visitors will have the opportunity to rent premises for various events, and food and drinks will be offered during the performances. In addition, there will be student offers for tickets, as well as opportunities to purchase gift certificates and annual passes.
Until the theatre building is completed, Nye Hjorten Teater will be present in various arenas around the country, and will thus be able to reach out to the audience before the official opening. The theatre has a rich cultural heritage and wants to engage and entertain both the city's residents and visitors.
