NTNU Centre for Fisheries and Aquaculture, known as Sealab, is an academic department focusing on marine biology and marine research. The centre offers a wide range of marine resources, services and facilities that support both academic and industrial research. Through collaboration with various research environments, Sealab contributes to the development of knowledge in aquaculture and fisheries.
Sealab also provides access to its facilities for researchers outside Norway through AQUAEXCEL, a European network for aquaculture research. The centre is a member of the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC), which further strengthens its position within marine research environments. Through these collaborations and resources, Sealab works to promote innovation and sustainability in marine research.
