Folkeverksted Trondheim is a non-profit organization that offers activities related to reuse, redesign and repairs. The organization targets young people aged 10 to 24 in particular, and organizes free course evenings where participants can learn about various techniques to give new life to old objects. In addition to learning, the courses include a small plant-based meal, which contributes to a social atmosphere.
Folkeverkstedet receives support from Bufdir, the Gjensidigestiftelsen and the Grieg Foundation, which enables their offer to young people. Participants are encouraged to bring slippers or indoor shoes to create a comfortable and inclusive setting. Volunteers play an important role in the operation of the workshop and contribute to the good atmosphere that characterizes the events.
