Norwegian People's Aid Trondheim is a local team of Norwegian People's Aid, a humanitarian solidarity organization with roots dating back to 1939. The organisation's aim is to promote social engagement, solidarity and inclusion through various activities. With volunteers across the country and in approximately 35 other countries, Norwegian People's Aid Trondheim works on a number of projects, including demining and protecting civilians from explosive hazards.
In addition to their humanitarian work, the local team actively participates in the voluntary rescue service, where they offer first aid and rescue services. The organization also engages young people through the Solidarity Youth and Sanity Youth programmes, which focus on involving young people in socially beneficial activities. Norsk Folkehjelp Trondheim offers first aid courses and the sale of first aid equipment to businesses, as well as the possibility of hiring first aid crews and emergency ambulances for events.
