The Vår Frue Menighet's Senior Housing Foundation is a private foundation established in 1976 by Nidaros Cathedral and Vår Frue Menighet. The purpose of the foundation is to build and operate homes for the elderly, as well as to offer help to the residents. 80 single apartments and 2 semi-detached apartments are offered, with sizes varying between 40 and 55 square metres. The residents must be between 67 and 84 years old and in good health.
The homes are equipped with common areas such as living rooms, exercise rooms, libraries and verandas, as well as a large courtyard for the residents. The foundation emphasizes creating a safe and meaningful living environment, with various joint activities for the residents. Guest parking and a guest apartment are also available for visitors. In addition, the foundation has its own home service, Vår Frue Sone, which consists of 12 employees, including nurses and health professionals, who offer home nursing care to the residents.
