The Ålesund sub-office for Correctional Services Møre og Romsdal offers services within probation. The office's task is to follow up people who are subject to parole, and offers various support schemes to facilitate a successful reintegration into society. This includes, among other things, daily routines, contact officers, as well as opportunities for leave and transfers to other prisons in Norway.
The services also include health services, drug control and program activities, which are important elements to support the individual's development and coping. In addition to practical help such as food and unemployment benefits, the office facilitates restorative processes and provides the opportunity to use the internet. Religion can also be part of the offer, as a support in the rehabilitation process.
