Songbird Agency is a specialist theatre publisher that focuses on playwrights and dramatic works, with a particular emphasis on Norwegian drama. The publisher offers support and guidance to both established and new writers, and actively works on the development of new plays. Through collaboration with theatres and production companies, they seek to promote diversity in the performing arts and contribute to a varied theatre production.
In addition to presenting the works in the portfolio for relevant stages, Songbird Agency emphasizes developing strategies for each playwright and composer. They also act as agents by contracting commissions and safeguarding the interests of the rights holders, including the collection of royalties. The publisher also offers consultancy services to producers and directors, which can include dramaturgy, artistic strategy and the development of concepts and ideas.
