The Drammen Region Fire Service IKS’s main task is to create safety and security for both residents and businesses in the region. The fire service offers guidance on fire safety in the home, and advises on fire safety requirements for housing associations and commercial buildings. They also handle reports of concerns related to fire safety, which helps to raise awareness of important safety measures.
In addition to guidance and advice, the fire service carries out sweeping and inspections of heating systems to ensure that they comply with current regulations. To promote fire safety in the local community, they are planning an open day at the fire station in 2025, where residents can learn more about fire prevention. The information provided is available in several languages, making it easier for different groups in society to access important safety information.
