Akademiet Ungdomsskole Lier was established in the fall of 2022 and offers education for students from grades 7 to 10. The school has a capacity of 45 students, which allows for close follow-up and individual learning. Each student is assigned a mentor who assists them in achieving their personal goals. The teaching combines short, teacher-led hours with longer periods for self-study, which allows for adapted learning.
The location in scenic surroundings contributes to a good and inclusive school environment. Akademiet Ungdomsskole Lier is approved on the basis of life views, including life view humanism, and aims to be a future-oriented school. The school also has the option of teaching at higher levels, which provides a broader learning offer for the students.
