W.B. Samson – Tveita is a bakery with a long history, established in 1894, and is considered Oslo's oldest bakery. The bakery specializes in a varied selection of baked goods, including sourdough bread, cinnamon buns, school bread, cakes and pastries. In addition to baked goods, they offer lunch dishes with a focus on quality ingredients, reflecting their commitment to taste and craftsmanship.
The bakery collaborates with Valdresmeieriet to offer self-produced cheese made from milk from local farms, and also uses mountain pigs from Valdres in its products. The breads are made by hand, with a process that includes long-term rising and baking in a hot stone oven, which contributes to the characteristic taste and texture. Recently, they have also started pressing their own orange juice, which has gained recognition for its taste.
