NAViO - Norwegian Audiovisual Translators Association is an interest organization that represents audiovisual translators. The organisation's aim is to look after its members' economic and professional political interests, and works to promote recognition of subtitling as a profession. Through various initiatives, NAViO contributes to raising awareness of the importance of good language in audiovisual media.
To support its members, NAViO offers scholarships and support schemes through the Audiovisual Translators' Fund (AVIOF). In addition, the association organizes social gatherings such as annual meetings, Christmas parties and summer parties, as well as professional seminars on current topics. These activities give members the opportunity to make contacts and exchange experiences within their field of expertise.
