The National Center for Multicultural Education (NAFO) is an institution that works to integrate multilingual and multicultural perspectives in the education system, from kindergarten to higher education. The centre's aim is to promote adapted education for minority-language children, young people and adults, as well as to develop inclusive learning communities. NAFO offers flexible online bilingual education and develops resources for skills development in kindergartens and schools.
The business is nationwide and includes professional and research dissemination, as well as assistance to the field of practice. NAFO organizes conferences on inclusive and diverse reading experiences, and collaborates with international networks to strengthen second language education. The center also focuses on cooperation between home and school for newly arrived pupils, and offers open learning resources for pupils with a short stay in upper secondary school.
