Skien Hospital is a comprehensive acute care hospital that offers specialist treatments and diagnostics in most medical fields. The hospital aims to provide patients with comprehensive healthcare services and has recently established a new emergency centre to improve patient care. This initiative is part of the hospital's ongoing work to meet the needs of both patients and their families.
In addition to clinical services, Skien Hospital focuses on professional development and job opportunities for its employees. The hospital also offers a digital health service that enables communication between patients and healthcare professionals. There is an emphasis on meeting the needs of young people and providing information about illness in the family, which can be important for both patients and their loved ones. The hospital has several geographical locations to ensure accessibility for residents.
